Subject: IMPORTANT: Santa Monica Behavioral Health Center Meeting Postponed

Dear Community Member,

After working closely with our partners at the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, Supervisor Lindsey Horvath’s Office, and the City of Santa Monica, a joint decision has been made to pause the opening of the two behavioral health sites located at 413 and 825 Ocean Avenue.

Given this pause, we are also postponing the Town Hall originally scheduled for Thursday, October 16, at 6:30 p.m. We are collaborating with the City of Santa Monica, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, and Supervisor Horvath’s Office for our next steps.

We remain deeply committed to engaging with and listening to our community. The Town Hall has been tentatively rescheduled for Wednesday, November 5, 2025 (location TBD). We will share updated details as soon as they are confirmed.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact our Community Hotline or email us to connect directly with a St. Joseph Center team member:

St. Joseph Center remains dedicated to working alongside our neighbors to provide hope and opportunity to those most in need—and to continue our mission of ending the cycle of poverty and homelessness in our community.

Sincerely,
The St. Joseph Center Team
