TONIGHT!! NOMA Wildfire Series kicks off
Dear Friends of NOMA,
If you live in the NOMA neighborhood, there are things you need to know about fire safety — and NOMA has arranged a meeting with the people who can tell you directly.
Tonight at 7:00 PM, NOMA is hosting a community town hall on Zoom featuring representatives from CAL FIRE, the City of Santa Monica's Office of Emergency Management, the Santa Monica Fire Department, City Manager Oliver Chi, and State Senator Ben Allen.
Together, they will explain what the new Fire Hazard Severity Zone (FHSZ) Maps mean for our neighborhood — and what State and Santa Monica officials and first-responders have done, and are planning to do, to protect your home, your family, and your financial future.

This is Session 1 of NOMA's Wildfire Preparedness, Response & Insurance Series. Our goals are simple but important: to educate our neighbors, advocate for our community, and engage directly with the city and state officials who make critical, life-saving decisions on our behalf. Your presence — and your voice — matters.
PREPARE FOR THE MEETING: WATCH THESE SHORT VIDEOS FIRST
CAL FIRE has provided us with four short videos that lay the groundwork for everything we'll discuss on May 7th. We strongly encourage you to watch them before the meeting — they take less than 20 minutes in total and will make the conversation far more meaningful.

PLEASE SHARE THIS INVITATION
This meeting is open to all Santa Monica neighbors — not just NOMA members. If you know someone who rents in our neighborhood, owns property here, or is worried about what the new fire maps mean for their insurance or safety, please forward this email. The more voices in the room, the stronger our community's message to the officials who need to hear it.
👉 Not a member? If this email was forwarded to you by a NOMA member you can register here to join NOMA's mailing list.
We look forward to seeing you on Zoom May 7th.
Warmly,
The NOMA Board
