LA COUNTY HAS PAUSED THE OCEAN AVE MENTAL HEALTH FACILITIES ..THANK YOU NOMA COMMUNITY!
Yesterday, LA County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath announced that, "in response to concerns raised by constituents" at our NOMA meeting last Thursday, the two mental health facilities on Ocean Avenue will be paused "to allow for more community engagement." The announcement is below.
This is a win for our community and we thank Supervisor Horvath for hearing our concerns and her quick response, as well as Mayor Negrete who supported our position and pushed for this action. Her agenda item 16B from last night's Council meeting was continued to a future meeting so that it can be updated with the Supervisor's input.
NOMA will continue to keep you informed as this issue progresses. Our next meeting is Thursday Nov. 6th at 7pm on Zoom. Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81526517066
